The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime.

The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime by Mark Haddon is a terrific book. I enjoyed it from start to finish. I couldn't put it down!

The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Nighttime is written from the point of view of a boy with autism. His neighbours dog is stabbed with a pitchfork in the middle of the night, and he is not very understood. His mother is gone, and the boy doesn't know why, or where she went. He goes through troubles like his rude neighbours, the troubles of having autism, and his mom being gone without a trace.

I can't say much about the book, because most of it needs the element of surprise and if you know what's coming next, you won't get the full impact of the book, and the storyline.

I say you should be eleven, maybe ten to read it. Some parts might be slightly disturbing, there is mention of drugs, and there could possibly be some emotional attachment. (It is possible with that in any book, but if you've had experiences like a family member with autism or something, it could be good for you to read it or maybe not.)

I found it was very well written, and I really liked how it was written by the point of view of the boy with autism. I consider it one of my very favourite books. I really recommend this book!
